Welcome to Landmark First Church of God

“The Place for New Beginnings.”

Landmark has seen tremendous growth, and experienced a marvelous movement of the Holy Spirit since its first service on September 11, 2005. We feel there are a couple of very important reasons why this or any church sees growth, and reaps the ripe harvest of souls that are out there in today’s world:

God is in control. Landmark is not about the personality of one person, nor is it about creating an exclusive club to cater to those who want to avoid the “less worthy” in the world. We, quite simply, want to be led by the Spirit, not by tradition, nor by any preconceived notion about what church should be.

There are no throw-away people. Jesus didn’t just come to spread the good news just to the wealthy and the prominent; He didn’t focus on those who seemed to have it all together. He came for ALL people. He used those who made themselves available to be used regardless of their standing in the community. He became a friend to the downtrodden and the outcasts to show the world that people of all socio-economic and racial backgrounds were loved by a perfect God.

A favorite verse of mine for some time now has been found in the gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 30. It says, “He must become greater; I must become less.”  Truly, our goal at Landmark is to become much less of a factor, as human beings, in the building of this church than God is. The same verse in The Message paraphrase reads like this; “This is the assigned moment for him to move into the center, while I slip off to the sidelines.”

Our desire at Landmark Church of God is to “slip off to the sidelines” and watch as God does what He did in Acts 2:47: “And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Emphasis mine)

Join us as we celebrate the One True living God and all that He has to offer through the gift of His son, Jesus Christ, savior of the world. If you have been looking for a church that is not in the business of judgment, then Landmark is the place for you and your family.

In His Service,
Pastor Scott
